First Aid for Seizures
1. Remain calm, speak to the child, and observe them closely.
2. Move harmful objects out of the way and make sure that the child is safe.
3. Turn child gently onto one side to protect his or her airway and prevent choking.
4. Do not put anything in his or her mouth.
5. Do not attempt to restrain the child.
6. If it is safe, place something soft under the child's head.
7. Time the seizure. If the seizure does not stop after 3-4 minutes, prepare to administer a rescue medication or call for help.
8. Give the child time to recover after the seizure.
